Design Consultant/Sales – Modern Retail Home Furnishings
Zuri Furniture is looking for a highly motivated and dependable ‘top-performer’ with a very strong design and sales background to fill a position at our Alpha and Frisco locations. The ideal candidate must possess an appreciation for modern furniture, proven sales record, and interior design talent. Position requires consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and operating on an above-average closing ratio. Plus, the ability to provide an outstanding customer experience.
Candidate must have an outgoing personality and work with all team members to maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere. To be considered for this position applicant must provide day and time availabilities within your cover letter or introduction email. Starting rate will be $12-15/hour based on qualifications and/or experience, plus an unlimited compensation potential through Zuri’s commissions structure.
Greet in-store customers
Educate customers on Zuri’s Design Services(s)
Call and email leads for design opportunities
Schedule and maintain appointments for all design consultations
Create client designs by utilizing Zuri’s broad spectrum of products while staying within the client’s needs and budget
Create and communicate design presentations in a timely, professional, and consistent manner
Follow through with daily customer interactions
Create and complete purchases through POS system
Monitor customer purchases through the order, delivery, and installation process
Work with Buyers and Fulfillment Coordinators to promptly update customers of any delays or issues with purchases and/or deliveries
Assist in building templates and AutoCAD files for consultation presentations+
Assist and educate other Design Consultants on the design process
Follow and communicate company Policies & Procedures when and where needed
EVERYDAY IN-STORE RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are not limited to): Answering phones, greeting customers on a rotation basis, completing open/closing store duties, daily and weekly light cleaning, small trash collection and removal, etc. You will never be requested to do something any other team member would not do themselves.
Passion for contemporary design + up-to-date knowledge of its ever evolving trends
Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
2-3 Years related work experience a customer experience, design, and/or a retail environment
Broad knowledge of effective sales techniques
Proven experience or education in residential and/or commercial design
Advanced Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Email
Basic knowledge of residential/commercial space planning guidelines
Demonstrated ability to sketch a basic space plan required
Knowledge of AutoCAD and knowledge of Sketch-up or Revit a plus
Working Knowledge of Power Point or iPages a plus
Awe-inspiring organizational skills
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Reliable transportation required *Will have a monthly goal for completing multiple in-house Consultations
